EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — It’s been 40 years since Los Angeles held its last Olympics, but the legacy of those Games lives on through the work of the LA84 Foundation, a national leader in support for youth sport programs and public education. It's all possible because of the surplus from the 1984 Games.

At the top of the foundation is President and CEO Renata Simril, who has held almost every important office in LA, from deputy mayor to vice president of the Dodgers.

Simril joined “Your Morning” with more.
