LOS ANGELES — Drawing its title from a work by artist John Baldessari, “Desire, Knowledge, and Hope (with Smog)” includes “reflections on LA as a city in flux, and on societal issues that extend far beyond it.”

On show from Nov. 18 to April 7, the exhibition includes the work of 21 artists across many generations using a diverse range of materials and techniques. 

The show marks the first exhibition for curatorial assistant Jennifer Vanegas Rocha — working with head curator Ed Schad — and features several artists new to The Broad collection.
