LOS ANGELES — A very large rainbow flag was hand stitched in Long Beach.
The flag is so big there was no place to hang it during the 25th annual LA Art Show where it wouldn’t hit the floor.

This pride flag was thought up by two Argentine artists who are also a couple. They sewed it in Long Beach during a residency at the Museum of Latin American Art.
Thousands of people wrote messages on the panels.
The flag is 112 feet long and 30 feet wide. It took two months to finish and countless pounds of donated cotton clothes.
Leo Chiachio and Daniel Giannone have been together for almost 20 years. This pride flag is the biggest piece the artists have ever created.
The flag was carried in the 2019 Long Beach pride parade.
