Journalism is fundamental to democracy, and it’s critical that the next generation be informed. 

Hosted by Amrit Singh, "Spectrum News Challenge" is a team-based quiz show based on the zeitgeist of what is in the headlines, played in a virtual environment to meet teens where they are in this digital, social media and video landscape. Two high school teams, from two different states, will test their knowledge of local and national news on topics related to history, politics, civics and government, as well as significant events in world history. The winning team will take home the grand prize and the title of Spectrum News Challenge Champion.
