Meet the team that will represent Kentucky in the “Spectrum News Challenge.”
Maddie
High school: Bullitt East High School
Accomplishments: Maddie is the executive editor of the yearbook staff, president of the Student Leaders and Motivators Club and secretary of the National Honor Society.
Fun fact: Maddie once won a chicken nugget-eating contest, eating 10 nuggets in under 90 seconds.
Lilly
High school: Bullitt East High School
Accomplishments: Lilly is on the varsity basketball and soccer teams, a leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of Project Unify, which helps get more inclusion and involvement for special education students at school.
Fun fact: Lilly goes by the nickname "Lil Dawg."
Keelin
High school: Bullitt East High School
Accomplishments: Keelin was named Kentucky Student Journalist of the Year in 2022. He is also the executive editor of his school’s news magazine and president of the Charged Media Group, which helps to beautify the community.
Fun fact: Keelin plans to study marketing at Western Kentucky University.
