What You Need To Know

  • ICON Park has a new ride, The Carousel on the Promenade

  • The carousel features 30 animal figures and is modeled after carousels of the late 1800s, early 1900s

  • It's ICON Park's second owned and operated attraction, the first is The Wheel

The Carousel on the Promenade, located in the entertainment complex’s Promenade area, features 30 figures of different animals, including horses, deer and zebras.

The design of the carousel, crafted by Chance Rides, is reminiscent of hand-carved carousels of the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The carousel also features two chariot benches which are accessible for visitors with disabilities.

“The Carousel on the Promenade is the first ride of its kind in the Orlando Entertainment District,” ICON President and CEO Chris Jaskiewicz said in a news release. “We’re extremely proud to introduce our second owned and operated attraction to guests. Just as The Wheel has created wonderful memories for families all over the world, so will our new carousel.”

A ride on the carousel costs $5 per person, but adults ride free with a paid child. Children ages two and under can ride free with a paid adult.

ICON Park is home to a variety of attractions and restaurants, including Madame Tussauds Orlando, Museum of Illusions, Gordon Ramsay’s Fish & Chips and Blake Shelton’s Ole Red.
