Amrit Singh is a man of many titles. He has been deemed journalist, lawyer, host, writer, and documentarian, to name a few. The list goes on! In 2013, Amrit spent five years working alongside Sean Combs on Revolt TV as anchor, cultural editor, and political correspondent. Today, Amrit is part of the Spectrum News 1 team, appearing every night on The Evening Beat.
This Boston University magna cum laude graduate is passionate about telling stories that bring humanity to government and society’s most pressing issues. Amrit’s coverage of the Wisconsin Sikh temple massacre transformed his life and compelled him to find his voice. Today, Amrit finds inspiration through his work at Spectrum News 1: the people, the intention, the approach, and the mission.
Amrit and his wife had three equally beautiful SoCal wedding ceremonies, so it’s no surprise that one of his favorite things to do in L.A. is getting lost in the historic books at the site of (one of) the scenes, the Los Angeles Public Library. On Amrit’s time off, he and his wife write music for their band, and take their daughter and three dogs for evening walks along the Strand.
