LAGUNA NIGEL, Calif. – Despite being 89 years old it’s hard to stay in step with YMCA fitness instructor, Bob Orozco. He has been a member of the YMCA since 1938 and has taught over 13,000 fitness classes.

“The real secret is keeping moving. Keeping moving and moderation in what you do do,” says Orozco.

Adults over the age of 55 are the fastest growing population in health clubs.

Orozco is the kind of guy that makes his classes throw the excuses out the window. He is up at 4 a.m. and opening the Laguna Niguel Y by 4:30 a.m. He leads a class at six and another in the afternoon.

Originally from the East Coast, Orozco moved to Laguna Niguel in 1984 to help start this club. Now that he is knocking on the door of 90 years old many people are asking what his secret is.

“You think positive. You think of what you have and not what you don’t have,” says Orozco.

This fitness Phenom doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
