Los Angeles City Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez was inspired to run for office because she wanted to advocate for the community where she grew up. One thing she wishes people knew about her job is how directly local officials can impact their constituents' lives.
Hernandez would say one of the hardest things she's had to do in her role is support her constituents who may have been negatively impacted by previous legislation. Her top priority for the rest of her term is to elevate quality of live in her community.
In three words, Hernandez would describe her district as "hopeful, innovative, and welcoming." She would spend an ideal day in her district volunteering at a community cleanup and gathering insight from her constituents.
