LOS ANGELES — Officially launched in 1973 during the Chicano Movement, Self Help Graphics & Art is committed to providing access and opportunity in the arts and to empowering Chicanx and Latinx artists through every aspect of its programming, education and community outreach. 

Jennifer Cuevas was recently named the new executive director of SHG as the institution looks toward its next 50 years. 

SHG's Boyle Heights campus is currently undergoing a major renovation and upgrade.
