LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Stevie Wonder, Demi Lovato and H.E.R. are among the performers who will take the stage at the Greek Theatre Saturday evening as part of a 24-hour global concert designed to promote worldwide equity in COVID-19 vaccine distribution as well as the effort to combat poverty, starvation and climate change.

Global Citizen Live will originate from nine stages around the globe, including the Greek Theatre, featuring an array of big-name musical acts and appearances by celebrities and dignitaries including Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who will attend in New York City.

The worldwide concert will begin at 10 a.m. California time Saturday and continue for 24 hours, broadcasting from stages in Lagos, Nigeria; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; New York; Paris; London; Seoul, Korea; Sydney, Australia; and Mumbai, India.

The Greek Theatre portion of the show will begin at 7 p.m., also featuring Adam Lambert, Chloe X Halle, OneRepublic, Ozuna, The Lumineers and 5 Seconds of Summer.

People attending the concert in person will be required to show proof that they were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Sept. 10. Children under age 12, who aren't eligible for vaccinations, will have to provide proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours.

The concert will be shown in full over 24 hours on Hulu and ABC News Live. ABC will broadcast a highlights show Sunday night, while FX will air a four-hour compilation special Sunday afternoon. The 24-hour broadcast will also be carried on Apple Music, the Apple TV app, YouTube, iHeartRadio and The Roku Channel.

In April, Global Citizen presented "VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World" at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. That event, which featured performers including Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R., was designed to inspire confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and encourage people to be inoculated.
