EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Pauly Shore, 52, is a Los Angeles native and got his start doing stand-up comedy at his mom's famed "Comedy Store" on the Sunset Strip.

Now, after a decade-long hiatus from the big screen, Shore is back with a new comedy Guest House, where he plays a party animal squatter who won't leave after a newly engaged couple buys their dream home.

  1. “Stick with the Dancing: Funny Stories from my Childhood” is a new, one-man-show Shore has been performing during the pandemic. He will continue touring across the country beginning September 25 in Colorado Springs.
  2. After becoming an MTV 'VJ' in 1989, Shore had a string of moderate film hits with Encino Man (1992), Son in Law (1993) and Bio-Dome (1996).
  3. His other projects include a weekly audio and video podcast “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants," a scripted series Pauly Shore Is Quarantined With His Ex On Maui, and a merchandising line.
  4. In 2003 Shore produced, wrote, directed and starred in "Pauly Shore Is Dead," a semi-autobiographical mockumentary which gave him the best reviews of his career.
  5. While wearing many hats, Shore really enjoys making movies. "I think it’s the most challenging," he said. "And I also think it’s the most rewarding and the best artistically for me because you can really tell a story in one stop shop."
