Bill Duke has been working in Hollywood for four decades.

Over the years, the actor has starred in such iconic films as Predator and Menace II Society. He is also an accomplished director, and has helmed films and television shows.

Now Duke has a new book about his experiences in the entertainment industry titled Bill Duke: My 40-Year Career on Screen and Behind the Camera.

The actor, director and author recently sat down with The Weekend Beat on 1 anchor Kelvin Washington to discuss his book, diversity in Hollywood and becoming the first African American to direct the television series Dallas in the 1980s.
