ANAHEIM, Calif. — Tuesday is America Recycles Day.

But you might say one elementary school in Orange County has been celebrating the day dedicated to promoting recycling across the country every week, for the past 15 years.

That’s how long students at Adelaide Price Elementary School in Anaheim have been collecting recyclables curbside before school once a week.

Beginning in 2021, the real-life-recycling has also been coupled with classroom learning developed by the OC Department of Education’s Inside the Outdoors environmental education program in partnership with OC Waste & Recycling.
