IRVINE, Calif. — Before or after school, a seventh grader in Irvine goes jogging and picks up trash along the way. Twelve-year-old Claire Chong said the combination of activities is called “plogging."
The seventh grader has been plogging since 2019 with her family. So far, she has helped collect over 17,000 cigarettes butts and hundreds of pounds of trash.
The recyclable items are separated out.
