LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. — Lake Elsinore has a long history of dealing with toxic algae blooms, so much so that in 2022, the lake had to be closed to the public for six months.

The lake is just one of thousands of water bodies across the United States that is dealing with the effects of harmful algae blooms.

Over the years, the city has tried several solutions, but their latest hope is using a natural remedy called nanobubble technology to improve the lake’s water quality from Hawthorne-based company Moleaer.
