LOS ANGELES — The Safe Clean Water Program allocates millions of dollars a year to support projects that better manage urban and stormwater runoff.

Los Angeles Waterkeeper’s recent report examines ways that the program can improve to strengthen the county’s water reliance.

The East LA Green Median is a product of this program.

During these winter storms, the East LA Green Median project has collected about 100 acre-feet of storm water. That’s equivalent to the water supply needs for 200 households for an entire year.
