LOS ANGELES — Ongoing construction has impacted travelers at LAX. Earlier this year, Fitch Ratings downgraded the LAX automated people mover project to a BB+ from a BBB+ rating.

Fitch Ratings say the APM should be completed by April 2025. LAX is expected to be a hub activity for Los Angeles in the coming years, with the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.
