LOS ANGELES — The metaverse is emerging as a platform for individuals on their journey of self-discovery.

Metaverse user Violet Vaux revealed how his virtual reality experiences on IMVU gave him the confidence to explore his authentic identity. Vaux found a supportive and accepting community that empowered him to express himself in the physical world.

Psychotherapist Sarah Brock Chavez said the metaverse's immersive nature can offer a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to gain confidence, break societal barriers and ultimately foster a more inclusive world.
