THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — After making the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, Angel City FC kicked off the season with a 1-0 loss against its new northern rival, Bay FC.

Despite the disappointing start, fans have a lot to be excited about as the team is led by Southern California natives and sisters Alyssa and Gisele Thompson, who have reunited as teammates and continue to serve as trailblazers in the sport.
