CARSON, Calif. — Padel is a paddle sport you may have never heard of here in the U.S., but a North American operator of the padel says it is the world’s fastest growing sport.

Tens of millions of people play around the world. Padel is described by players as a mix of tennis and squash, played in partners on an often bright blue court with glass and wire walls. The game uses the same scoring system as tennis, but the serves and strokes are different.

Spectrum News 1 spoke with Taktika Padel, a company with courts in California, including in Carson, and a local player, Renee Lotenero, in Carson about the sport.
