LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Lakers open their season on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors. Los Angeles will be looking to turn the page on a lackluster 11th place finish in the Western Conference last season. To do so, the organization has brought in a few new faces, including one guard who is fresh off of a championship run in his hometown.
In addition to receiving his championship ring on Tuesday's opener in the Bay Area, Juan Toscano-Anderson will also make his debut in the purple and gold. JTA, as he's called personally and professionally, is a player whose journey to the NBA has been anything but ordinary. And as one of the very few Mexican players in the league, he's ready to make his mark while inspiring others.
