LOS ANGELES — The legacy of Clayton Kershaw takes on an even deeper meaning just under two miles away from Dodger Stadium.
While the park there isn’t in the shape of a diamond, Lisette Naewa thinks of Kershaw when she watches her son and daughter play basketball together.
Three years ago, Naewa arrived with her kids at the Dream Center, which supports those affected by homelessness and hunger with residential programs and job training.
Naewa wanted to give her kids stability, and a playground built by Kershaw and his wife Ellen’s foundation, Kershaw’s Challenge, helped her do it.
