LOS ANGELES — There's nothing like an October sea of blue.

In the middle of 50,000 fans stood Allen Estrada, aka the LA Dodger Dog, for Game 4 of the NL Division Series.

What You Need To Know

  • The Los Angeles Dodgers are just a win away from a return to the NLCS

  • Dodgers superfan Allen Estrada is also known as "LA Dodger Dog"

  • Estrada was in the house for Wednesday night's big NLDS Game 4 win

  • Estrada and most fans couldn't be a part of the team's championship run last year because of the pandemic

"It's just passion that's pouring out of you and is hopefully inspiring this team," Estrada said.

Like all Dodgers faithful, this diehard fan spent an entire season away from Dodger Stadium because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike last year, Estrada can now be with his team for the entire championship run.

On Tuesday night, with his replica ring on his finger, Estrada cheered for a Walker Buehler pitching gem, and with every strikeout, there was joy. Then the Dodger bats got hot, including a Mookie Betts two-run homer.

"I think it gave us a lot of energy, and [we] were able to keep the pressure on them and obviously win in the end," Betts said.

While the win was something the LA Dodger Dog will savor, he is still hungry for more October baseball.

"This is what we want," Estrada said. "We gotta prove to all of MLB that the Dodgers can win a full-season World Series — the full season. It's not a Mickey Mouse trophy. It's not a one-time thing. This is the real deal."

Estrada just needs one more win in San Francisco, and he will be right back at Chavez Ravine next week.
