LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Dodger broadcaster Joe Davis tested positive Wednesday for COVID-19 and will miss an undetermined number of games, according to the team.
According to a team statement, Davis tested positive "even though fully vaccinated." Davis is isolating at home.
Davis' broadcasting partner, former pitcher Orel Hershiser, is quarantining "due to his close contact" with Davis, according to the team.
"We wish them both well and look forward to safely welcoming them back to the Dodger broadcast," the team said in a statement.
Davis, 33, began broadcasting Dodger games in a fill-in role in 2016 and took over day-to-day duties in 2017 following Vin Scully's retirement.
