Russell Westbrook, a Los Angeles native and one of the newest Lakers players, payed a visit to Dodger Stadium, where he threw out the first ceremonial pitch before a baseball game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets on Aug. 22, 2021.

Los Angeles acquired the former league MVP in a trade with Washington to join Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazemore, Wayne Ellington, Dwight Howard and returnee Marc Gasol.
