The Frugal Frigate is an independent children’s bookstore located in historic downtown Redlands. Part of the community for over 33-years, the store proudly offers the best in both new titles and beloved favorites of children’s literature. They also carry a selection of plush toys, journals, stationery, cards, a build-a-stuffie workshop and all sorts of things to stir the imagination.
Vroman's Bookstore

Founded in 1894, Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena is the oldest and largest independent bookstore in Southern California. Aside from a well-curated selection of inventory, Vroman’s is recognized for its outstanding programming, which includes literary events, signings, book clubs and workshops. Gatsby Books

Gatsby Books has been the literary heart of Long Beach since 2010. Hosting author events, poetry nights, and even a wedding once upon a time. Gatsby Books sells gently used books and a few new titles as well. Make sure to stop by to browse and visit Ruby, the beloved store cat.
The Last Bookstore

They're not really the "last" bookstore... thank goodness. But The Last Bookstore is the largest new and used bookstore in California. The downtown LA location is the only bookstore that’s 22,000 square-feet with a record store, comic book store, five art studios, an epic yarn shop, a famous tunnel and so much more.
