Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, multimedia journalist Rae Williams is pleased to have found a second home in Los Angeles and at Spectrum News 1.

After completing her Master’s in Journalism at the University of Maryland, Rae returned to Jamaica to pursue her love of pop culture and celebrity news as an entertainment reporter. She reported for and hosted Jamaica's popular magazine program, “Entertainment Report,” and also produced the island's No. 1 morning show, “Smile Jamaica.”

Rae then returned to the U.S. to fulfill her dream of living in LA and started working the red-carpet circuit with The Buzz, interviewing celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Sofia Vergara, and 50 Cent. She also worked in programming development for Paramount and Fox. Later, she was the LA-based MMJ covering entertainment, human interest, and wellness for Atlanta Black Star.

In 2021, Rae released her first book, “Spotlight On Me: A Guide to Giving Great Interviews and Commanding Media.” When she's not working, she's spending time with her two dogs, Ivy and Quinn, and doing the mental math on how many boxes of Jamaican patties she can fit in her suitcase after trips back home.

You can find Rae documenting her reporter life and her travels to 27 countries and counting on her Instagram and TikTok as @raealy, and Twitter as @raereports.
