LOS ANGELES — A suspect who was barricaded inside a ride-hailing vehicle adjacent to a Metro train station in the Mount Washington area has been taken into custody.
Officers were dispatched at 7:38 a.m. to the 4500 block of Marmion Way in response to a ride-sharing company reporting that a passenger inside a vehicle may be armed, said Officer Jason Lee of the LAPD’s Media Relations, who added that no injuries were reported.
The vehicle was stopped near the Metro A (Blue) Line Southwest Museum Station. As a result, trains were halted between the Highland Park and Heritage Square stations. Metro was providing buses to shuttle passengers between the stations, but riders were advised to anticipate delays.
