LOS ANGELES — Ongoing violence in Israel and Palestine has sent shockwaves around the world. Being home to more than 600,000 Jews and a sizeable Palestinian community, Los Angeles has felt the impact hard.
Some in the Jewish community, like Jacqueline Canter, co-owner of LA Jewish institution Canter’s Deli, are horrified by the violence and hope it ends as soon as possible, while some Palestinian activists are standing in support of the attacks, calling them a response to decades of occupation and apartheid.
