LOS ANGELES — The Justice Department on Friday released an account of systemic abuses and discrimination by the police in Minneapolis, the result of a multiyear investigation that began after the murder of George Floyd in police custody ignited protests across the country.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said, “the patterns and practices we observed made what happened to George Floyd possible.”

Selwyn Jones, George Floyd's uncle and co-founder of the Hope 929 Foundation, joined "Your Morning" to discuss his feelings about the DOJ's findings and the work he is doing to create change in honor of his late nephew.
