RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (CNS) — One residence was evacuated while others were ordered to shelter in place after a natural gas line was struck in Cherry Valley Thursday.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of the gas leak at 8:13 a.m. at the intersection of Cherry and Grand avenues.

Southern California Gas Company was called to the scene to make repairs. Meanwhile, one residence was ordered to evacuate while approximately 12 others were ordered to shelter in place.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the incident was under investigation.
