EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Thursday marks a hugely consequential night for President Joe Biden, who is entering a bitterly divided Congress to give his state of the union.

With low approval ratings and major concerns over his age, pundits say the president must knock it out of the park, show vigor and be feisty — that performance is just as important as substance Thursday night.
