PERRIS, Calif. — Latinos make up the largest racial group statewide, but they’re least likely to vote, according to the Public Policy Institute of California.
It's why a group of youth volunteers who are part of an organization called TODEC in the Inland Empire said it was so important for them to go door-to-door in several neighborhoods, educating the community and encouraging them to vote in the March 5 primaries.
Political experts say these voters are particularly important in races such as the 47th Assembly District, which saw one of the closest legislative races in California history back in 2020.
