CENTURY CITY, Calif. — Words like magnetic, charismatic and inspirational have always been used to describe former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, whose sense of humor and tenacity might’ve made her the subject of a documentary even if tragedy hadn’t struck.

In January 2011, her life took on a new meaning. After being shot in the head, she suffered a severe brain injury.

Her new biopic, “Gabby Giffords Won’t Back Down,” shares her journey and push for gun safety laws.
