When Tanya McRae first visited Los Angeles in the early 90s to visit a friend, she immediately fell in love with the energy and cultural diversity of the city. She packed up everything from her home in Brooklyn and moved to Los Angeles not long after. Tanya has been producing television shows and covering news on the west coast ever since.
Her goal as a journalist is to tell compelling and thought-provoking stories in a way that makes people think about what they saw and heard days after the fact.
Tanya has been nominated for two local Emmy Awards in 2008 for investigative reports. She has also been nominated for two national Daytime Emmy Awards, and won an award in 2015 for “Outstanding Lifestyle Program” for the Oprah Winfrey Network series Home Made Simple.
