LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. — When it’s hot and sunny in Southern California, many people enjoy a beach day.

Some residents of one beach community along the coast say they see bigger crowds than usual, which is causing chaos at the beach.

Greg Viviani was raised in Laguna Beach and still lives there.

He says he’s never seen the amount of trash so bad at beaches like Aliso Beach.

He’s been cleaning up the beach nearly daily to help keep trash out of the ocean, but he says people need to stop leaving trash in the first place.

The City of Laguna Beach this week started an online ad campaign warning that littering will be ticketed in the city.
