EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — If you think watching the Dodgers is intense, that’s because you’ve never been on the sidelines of a high-stakes Little League game, at least that’s how Teresa Strasser sees it.

She’s an Emmy Award-winning writer and bestselling author who treats Little League like the Majors.

But when Strasser’s brother died of cancer, and then her mom four months later, she and her father turned to baseball to find hope and healing from the bleachers.

Her new memoir "Making it Home: Life Lessons From a Season of Little League," is out June 6.

Strasser joined Kelvin Washington on 'Your Afternoon' to discuss.
