ARCADIA, Calif. — For the first time, children have a seat at the table at the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, with a dedicated platform called the Children and Youth Pavilion, that allows them to hold discussions and policy briefings.

While not every child can make it to COP27, there’s plenty of climate activism right here in Southern California.

Arcadia’s Sabrina Zhang is a senior at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, and co-founder of the startup AgriVision that detects disease in crops to help fight food waste.
