EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Patrick Beverley from the Utah Jazz. 

In a deal announced Thursday, the Purple and Gold will send Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to Utah.

Beverley seems fired up to join the team, according to his recent tweet.

The veteran guard brings defense and toughness to a team that won just 33 games last year, but the question remains: How well will he fit in with the Lakers stars?
