ANAHEIM, Calif. – The D23 Expo, the popular fan convention for all things Disney, will move from 2021 to September 2022, Disney announced Monday.

The update was shared via a tweet on the official D23 Twitter account.
“We are excited to announce that the next D23 Expo will be held September 9-11, 2022, at the Anaheim Convention Center,” the tweet read.
For the 2022 edition of the event, Disney plans to share its plans for The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, giving fans a “first look” at how it will celebrate the milestone.
No other details were shared.
The expo is typically held every other year in the summer, with Disney using the event to share announcements and new details about its upcoming film, TV and theme park projects. In the past, projects such as the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands at Disneyland and Disney World as well as the upcoming Tron coaster at Magic Kingdom were first announced at the expo.
The last edition of the D23 Expo was held in 2019.
