SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — Rapper Eminem put out a new album called Music to be Murdered By. One song and its video chronicle the moments leading up to the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
Eminem is not one to shy away from controversy. He’s already getting heat for several cuts on the album.

Dawn Cox, who was at festival when the shooting took place, says she understands what Eminem is trying to say with this video -- she just can’t connect.
“He’s talking like he’s the person in the room. And the same person can’t . . . I can’t even fathom what was in that guy’s head," Cox said. "The steps he went through. It’s just weird to me.”
At the end of the video Eminem makes a clear statement on gun control
That is something Cox says he can get behind.
“It will definitely bring it all back up and we’re all going to start discussing it again, which needs to happen. I don’t know what the correct action is to take for change, but something has to change, right?” said Cox
What’s for certain, Eminem is sure to spark a reaction from both sides of this issue. And in the end maybe that’s what he’s really looking for.
