BURBANK, Calif. – Julia Broglie is filling her quarterly subscription boxes with cold massage therapy rollers.
It is just one of the products that subscribers will receive on their next Broglie Box shipment.
"I like to have fewer high-quality items than a bunch of little stuff," said Broglie.

Broglie has struggled with anxiety and depression her entire life. The idea for a mental health focused subscription box, came after her older brother Justin died of suicide five years ago.
She noticed while being open about her tragedy, it invited people to approach her about their own issues with mental health.
"I realized like oh my gosh, how do I get these tools and resources into peoples' hands," said Broglie.
So she created Broglie Box that delivers once per season and includes six to seven full-sized items in categories like mindfulness, aromatherapy, and sleep. Every box comes with Piece of Mind Magazine, curated by Broglie that features articles, tools, and visual guides from professional therapists and dieticians.
"When I was in my deepest darkest state, the last thing I wanted to do was go on my computer and read and search through all of the articles. My goal for Broglie Box was to really have something that our subscribers are receiving in their hands," said Broglie.
The magazine, along with the items, is something that subscribers Nick Furlong and Susana Carvalho found helpful.
"There's so much information on therapists and hotlines, and places to turn and things to do if you're in that certain situation," said Furlong.
The pair have demanding jobs as entrepreneurs and at times have felt overwhelmed and stressed, which had taken a toll on their mental states.
"When people don't talk about it and they aren't open about it, it becomes even scarier because you're like am I going crazy? I feel like this box is a conversation starter," said Carvalho.
That conversation is what Broglie hopes people will have.
"My dream ultimately is for everyone to be thinking about their mental health on a daily basis," said Broglie.
And that no one would lose a loved one to suicide.
"It changed my entire life, it flipped my world upside down, it's just horrible especially something we believe is an illness that could be prevented,” said Broglie.
Through Broglie Box, it will hopefully be a beacon of light to anyone suffering.
