ANAHEIM, Calif. – There are certain qualities that make it seem like leaders are born into a role.
However, a team activity - where dropping a ball could mean game over - shows that while Servite quarterback Noah Fifita is certainly a gifted athlete, it’s as much about how he has learned to be a leader, that’s made him capable of commanding one of the elite southern section offenses as a sophomore.

“The real question is you’ve got to ask yourself, ‘How far are you willing to go to win a championship?’” said Fifita.
The quick feet and the strong arm are the tools, but it’s his ability to execute that’s built respect among his teammates.
Fifita who’s from Huntington Beach comes from a football family - Division 1 and NFL relatives that he clearly learned the speed of the game from. For a kid who considers himself fairly quiet, his work ethic speaks volumes.
“Our music is the bar rattling and the self-compliments we give to our rack mates and each other. So this is definitely where we build brotherhood and chemistry here,” Fifita said.
While this young QB bodes well for Servite’s future, turning the tide in the Trinity League is a process they hope to start now. The preparation for CIF playoffs is every team’s regular season - it just so happens the two best teams in the country are in Trinity.
“I believe that you have to play every week like you can get beat, or you could beat somebody. And that does prepare you for the playoffs,” said Servite Head Coach Troy Thomas.
Leaders might be born with something special, but mostly they are made.
