LOS ANGELES – Tortillas, salsa, and guac are what you picture at a typical taco stand. Bee Taqueria even looks like one too. There is colorful tin siding, the outdoor seating, and the small window to place your order, but Bee Taqueria has more than meets the eye.

“It makes it feel like you are in my backyard,” says Alex Carrasco, chef.

Chef Alex grew up in Mexico and his first job in the U.S. was as a dishwasher in a kitchen. This put him on his culinary path to end up as a chef at high end restaurants. Years later, he wanted to go back to his roots and serve the food he was born to make.

“I wanted to do my own thing. I want to do tacos, ceviche, and beers. It’s what I like to eat and I think I’m good at it and I want to do it,” said chef Carrasco.

But he didn’t want to give up his fine dining experience, so he decided to do both. He offers omakase, a Japanese term that means putting the trust in the chef. You will make a reservation, grab a seat, and let him cultivate a culinary experience right before your eyes.

“I have so many skills, I worked with so many chefs, I don’t want to close myself as just the taco guy,” said Carrasco.

If you would like to try the omakase, it is $50 per person and is by reservation only.

You can make reservations here for specific days and times, for up to four people.

He brings unique techniques and ingredients to his customers, like a full garden on a taco or bone marrow. He wants to shock and awe while making you feel comfortable and relaxed at Bee Taqueria.

Bee Taqueria is located at 5754 W Adams Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.
