LOS ANGELES – It's that time of year again. Time for football fans to set down their drinks, get on their gear, and cheer on the home team.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams played host to the New Orleans Saints for the team's home opener.
Thousands of Rams fans flocked to the Coliseum to welcome the team home after a historic 2018 campaign that saw L.A. reach the Super Bowl for the first time in over 35 years.
But Sunday's festivities were nothing new to die-hard Rams fan, Ryan Didur. He's been doing this for a while.
“I’ve been here since day one," he said. "Every single game that they have played here back at the Coliseum three years ago, I have been here.”
And he's missed some pretty big events to do so, including the birth of his grandchild, who was born during the Rams vs. Chiefs game last year.
Didur is a proud member of a booster club called the Rams World Order or the R.W.O. It was started 10 years ago by Michael Martinez, who wanted to bring together Rams fans living in SoCal.
“I think everybody that’s in the Rams World Order is a die-hard Rams fan," Martinez explained. "But today it’s crazy, we’re loving it. We both worked hard doing this and now look at it.”
He and Didur are expecting some big things for the Rams this season — nothing short of a Super Bowl win will do.
Luckily, their team delivered in Week 2. Facing a Saints team that was largely without their quarterback, Drew Brees, the Rams defeated New Orleans, 29-7.
