SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- The blending of cultures, backgrounds, sounds, and instruments. This group of talented musicians make time in their busy schedules playing around the world for a special concert series, A Call 2Peace.

"Hopefully, it’ll inspire somebody to look for that peace in their lives," said Eduwardo del Signore.

Del Signore, a bassist, felt he needed to bring the message of peace to anyone he could. That's why he decided to start A Call 2Peace.

He assembled a high caliber lineup of musicians including; guitarist Federico Ramos, who played on the soundtrack of Coco; Scarlet Rivera, Bob Dylan’s violinist; Ron Wagner, percussionist for Cirque du Soleil; opera singer, Sonia Kazarova; and DJ Werd. Together, they're committed to sharing their message through music.

"It’s not about bringing peace through music, it's bringing the message that peace is possible," said del Signore.

The series began in 2003 in Tokyo and spread from there. Now they have consistent shows at The Church in Ocean Park.

Each performance benefits a specific charity with the music being a blend of many cultures and genres.

"It’s based on world music, which are rhythms from different parts of the world, India, Uruguay, Brazil," said del Signore.

Then opera is added to the mix, with a DJ bringing some modern flair.

"That’s the beauty of it. The creation of what happens to it," said del Signore.

Del Signore wants this to expand. He hopes A Call 2Peace can travel to more locations with more musicians in order to benefit more organizations.

He wants to continue spreading this message and giving back for years to come.
