Good morning, New York. Here's what you need to know today.

Your Weather Planner

It won't be a bad idea to keep the rain gear on hand today with scattered showers and storms to dodge. Storms could become severe into this afternoon producing damaging wind, hail and localized flooding, especially for areas along and south of the Thruway.

Along with the severe threat, though, does come some decent dry time and sunshine. Air conditioners will also be getting a workout with more humidity and highs in the 80s/near 90.
