Representing California's 77th District, State Assemblymember Tasha Boerner was inspired to run for office because she wanted to help build a better community for her children. Her favorite part of her job is writing her own bills and helping her constituents work through their problems.
Boerner's biggest accomplishment during her time in office is working on a project to help maximize safety during bluff collapses. Some people who she would say are doing great work in her community are the members of her advisory councils, who spend their time volunteering and developing meaningful policies.
If Boerner could have lunch with any elected official, she would choose Barack Obama. Her first job was designing page layouts for a small printing company.
