Dr. Jasmeet Bains is the Assemblymember for California's 35th District, representing her hometown and Kern County. As a legislator and doctor, Dr. Bains is proud of her district's ability to unify in times of need. 

Dr. Bains' biggest accomplishment in office so far was to pass the Sikh Genocide Resolution, which was meaningful to her as the first Sikh American elected to the State Legislature. The biggest thing she's learned in office has been that nobody is perfect and every legislator seeks to empower their district in their own way. 

Dr. Bains would take an out-of-town visitor to the fields of Delano. Her first job was selling cars at a car dealership.
